Hi Team! I am returning for a 3rd year with Team ENVE, but lost one year literally to COVID. In 2019, my entire family came down with covid. I lost my father to covid and I spent over 3 weeks in the hospital and 8 days on a ventilator. I worked back into condition and was able to complete BWR NC, Jeremiah Bishop's Alpine Gran Fondo, ride the length of Skyline Drive in Virginia and ended the year riding the "Dirty Dozen" in Pittsburgh. I was not competitive in any of these events, but I was happy to participate and complete the longest rides of my life after covid.
In 2022 I have ambitions of building on my successes of 2021. I have yet to pick events/races, but tentatively plan on at least one BWR event, maybe unPAved, and some other gravel events/gran fondos. I have switched emphasis to that gravel riding to save myself from comparisons to the "old me" and to take on new challenges and see new areas.
