This is my first season being on the Enve team. A little about me, I'm a recreational rider, who is getting into racing. Planning on participating in a century ride in 2020, and also the Ironman in Kona. I love competing (collegiate swimmer at D1 school), picked up running and recently did a half marathon in 1:47 mins. Check me out on Strava: https://www.strava.com/athletes/33916424
I have a 2017 Specialized Tarmac eTAP. So far in the upgrade department: Specialized Aero handlebars, Enve 3.4 w/ DTSwiss 240s, Wahoo Element Bolt w/ speed/cadence sensors, Speedplay Zeros, Specialized s-works 6 shoes.
In the hidden closet (hidden from the wife): DTSwiss R470's, Vision Metron 40 LTD, and stock handlebar
Planned upgrades: Power meter (really like the Quarq stuff)
April Challenge: My Why
I've been competitive my whole life. From collegiate swimming, to USTA Tennis, and everything in between. I had time to reflect on this when on my 100 miles around the island. And I did question myself: why? Is it the thrill of speeding down hills? Is it the freedom from being stuck inside? Is it just for fitness? I would say it's all of the above. My why I do this: it's making me become mentally tough. It gives me clarity and fortitude. So while I ride and run, it's not only to be a better athlete, but to also mentally toughen up to know that I have the mindset to accomplish anything.
Wish list: S-works Venge
