I have been cycling my entire life. I was the kid in the neighborhood that all the other kids brought their bikes to my house to fix, tinker and make cool. We raced constantly around our block to see who was fastest. I was a soccer player and an elite runner until I found triathlon in 1997. As an integral component of my endurance development I immediately fell in love with the cycling discipline. I formed Fast Splits Coaching in 2008 and have been coaching triathletes ever since while competing myself in draft legal triathlon for Team USA along with full and half distance triathlons. Recently, I decided to pivot in my endurance direction and give up competing in triathlon but switch to gravel racing. Some friends and I formed Cratos Endurance Team and went to Boise for the Hincapie Gran Fondo because of its gravel component and loved it! I also just completed the HellHole 3 day stage gravel race in Cordesville SC and am totally hooked to make a strong run at gravel racing.

I put on 2-3 free clinics in conjunction with my partner bike shop in Tampa. Additionally, I lead a ride a month at our local state park for all levels.
I have had 6 knee surgeries and 4 lower back surgeries including a 2 level fusion in 2018. I cherish each and every day I can throw a leg over my bike and ride. I truly love this sport and will not let anything stop me from pursuing my passion.
