I'm a former professional ballet dancer (1998-2009), and I toured all over the world from Japan to Panama to the US. I picked up the bicycle as a way to keep myself in shape after I retired, and though I mostly ride my road bike, I'm also an avid mountain bike rider. I'm very personable, the ballet companies I worked for often chose me to be the voice and representative for the dancers in public speaking and events. I enjoy making everyone feel welcome and engaged, regardless of skill levels. Having been an accomplished dancer, to being a mediocre cyclist, I know that skill level doesn't always point towards interest or excitement about a sport.
I currently own my own business (www.NVSsound.com), and it affords me flexibility in my schedule to train and determine my own schedule much of the time.
As a cyclist, I ride about 3,000 to 5,000 miles a year, depending on time available. I generally get at least 800 of those miles on the mountain bike.
