After six years as a competitive triathlete (and 3x Kona qualifier!), I turned my athletic focus to road cycling in 2017. I realized that I loved the places bikes can take me and the adventures they induce.
I currently race as a Cat 2 road cyclist, and am continuing on a trajectory of category upgrades. Stage racing is my favorite race format, but I also do single-day races of all types — road races, hillclimbs, criteriums, and time trials.
Weekends aren’t just for racing though! I really like doing group rides because riding with people who push me, challenge me, and encourage me is my favorite way to train. I am fortunate with where I live in Boulder, Colorado to have a plethora of people to ride with — from amateurs to pros. That’s one of the great things about cycling — the bike is also a social tool.
In addition to my passion for cycling, I also love anything design related, be it graphic design, interior design, or landscape design. I’ve parlayed this into a career doing transmission line design for a large utility company that serves the midwest.
